Full wood stocks for a P-14 Enfeild

good luck in your search! It's not easy to find 'em but they are out there, but not cheap either. Try CGN"s southern counterpart at ww.gunboards.com. THey have a trader board that got me a couple of leads when I was on a similar search...

Can any of you folks point me in the right direction to finding a full wood stock for my P-14 or where to start looking. Thanks

There's a Nova Scotia seller auctioning the stock only re: eBay item 7234962921

You'd still have to find the handguard.....

What about hardware? (i.e. barrel bands) Is Numrich the place to look first?

Yeah, I've got some good parts from Numrich, everything was pretty much new. If it's important, you might want to specify blued or parkerised parts. They send whatever they grab out of the bin.

I have a spare one. It's brand new.

P14 Stock

The eBay one has the hole drilled in the side of the stock for a pin to go through the chamber. Or am I wrong?
There might be some at the Irishtown gun show. I will look and maybe something will turn up.

P14 wearing a DP stock, stock and all metal bits came from Numerich

You can see the hole in the receiver area :(

that stock was a mess when I got it, covered in grime and had red, white, and even yellow bands painted on it.

Once cleaned up it looks good, it even has the back plate for the forward volley site still installed, no arm or disk, but its a nice touch. Brass disk is unmarked as well.

Those crescent cuts can be fixed. I'd recommend chiselling them square first and matching the grain best as possible so it looks more arsenal and less "DP repair".

Use good old black walnut from the sporterized stock you took off and re-inforce them with tiny wooden pegs hammered from the top (covered by handguard) and pre-drill the holes slightly smaller. I like hardwood toothpicks for peg material.

You can use Fibbings Oil Stain to darken the repair to match, if necessary.

:D strangely enough claven thats on my list of things to do.

I have some excellent examples of factory repaired enfield stocks to use as an example of how it was done. And I have lots of spare scrap material on hand to use for the repairs. But other projects keep getting higher priority then this little repair :)
