Okay, boys and girls, I have always wanted one, and this is the year I think I will do it.
A standard 25-303 Br., nothing changed but the neck diameter, simply necked down to 257. There is literally buckets of brass around for free, bullets are cheap, and necking down is as simple as A B C.
And what's more, I am going to barrel it up on a restocked plain vanilla Lee-Enfield with excellent Redfield sights.
It will be my walking around fun gun, and legal for big game if I want to use it.
About thirty years ago I had a 25-303 Imp. It was very accurate, but the best I ever got it to feed reliably was two from the magazine. Made up a few of the standard 25 version, and this little rascal feeds five like a fat boy at a buffet.
Can get the reamer from Dave Kiff, unless someone here has one already.
Would appreciate your comments. I know! I know! I should just get a 250-3000 or a 257 Roberts, but "Hey, this is the Internet!"
