So I was out with my good friend and brother in law last night shooting. I had 3 milk jugs full of water with red food die in them as our big long range targets.

After a long hike down into the valley to place them on various stumps and rock faces, we climbed back up the hill and got ready to have a shoot off.

My friend had a 300 weatherby with a zeiss 4.5-16 on it, my bro in law had a savage 7mm mag with I dunno what for a scope. Then there was me, rockin the m305 with irons. The targets were approximately 250 and 350-400 yards away from us.

I let both my friend and bro go first as Ive never shot that long of range with mine and thought I was gonna get schooled hard. 2-3 shots each and they aren't hitting anything. I step up and emptied my first clip of 5 at a steady semi rapid pace. Hitting all around the jug but no contact. Everyone was amazed that I was hitting so close especially me since I thought I had it sighted for around 100 or so yards.

So we all were extremely impressed that I ended the session having takin out 2 of 3 jugs with iron sights. Maybe their scopes weren't zero'd, and my irons weren't set for that range, but after finding the right spot by compensating I was able to hit my target. I was once considering scoping my rifle, but not anymore, after seeing how this baby performs at long range.
