FW: Krieghoff 8mm Mauser Carcano for Volkssturm

I owned one for about 10 years and shot it quite a bit, although I was never able to make a workable "clip", so it was a single shot for me.
I defiantly shot it even though many people had declared it "unsafe", but I was never able to get a single person to explain specifically why, although a few suggested it was "Italian Crap" or that somehow the modification had made bearing surfaces razor thin. Not a single person who made these statements owned one. My own first person inspections didn't reveal anything to suggest a reason for the rumours.
They had all just embraced what they had heard from others, and like many falsehoods, it simply became "Milaurp Folkore".
