It's odd that Ian calls it a .43 (though many Rolling Blocks were), because I've only heard of these being in .50-70?

.43 Spanish was a common Spanish caliber back in the day. Remington rolling blocks and Sharps were used by the Spanish. A good number of them have been finding their way back. IIRC Span did also manufacture their own RB/Sharps as well. Designated as M1871 i believe...

Dominion used to sell ammo for the 43, had a box of it for a long time until I got traded out of it. - dan
