FX-05 Xiuhcoatl

I don't believe a civilian version exists, and a quick search seems to indicate that fears of cartel use have prompted the Mexican military to produce a very specific number, and keep careful track of each one.

The military version is not available for purchase, and even if it was, it is fully automatic and burst capable, which would make it a prohibited firearm.

Have a nice day!

If you ask if you can order a civilian version, the most likely response you would get is:

"No, go away! We don't sell to Gringoes!"

Importable?

IIRC Mexican law says they can't EXPORT "instruments of war", so it's highly unlikely we'll ever see a semi-auto version.

Unless, of course, somebody gets their hands on the blueprints and manufactures a semi-auto version in the States or here (you listening Armedsask??;) )

It's Mexico, anything's for sale there. I'd imagine those blueprints aren't too hard to find. :p
