Hey guys,

So I just picked mine up from the post office. Dry fired it a few times and already HATE the trigger with a passion. Like it feels absolutely horrendous. Are those triggertech triggers worth it at $339?

Since "worth" is subjective I'll put it this way: If you won't miss the $339 you will not regret buying one.

Although I don't have the TT FX-9 trigger I do have a few AR-15 and Rem 700 Trigger Tech triggers and they are amazing triggers. I don't regret buying any of them.

Man, that trigger is the WORST, I ever came across, maybe the VZ70 is on pair with this one, I just can’t understand why it’s so terrible. I bought a Triggertech and didn’t even spent a single round trying the OEM trigger.

You can always try the free DIY paracord trick to help improve the trigger. There are YouTube videos showing how to do it, it's easy.
The fx9 triggertech trigger is good, every bit as good as my other TT's.

I have two FX-9s . The original Gen 18.6 “ , which had a questionable trigger , however I dry fired it about 300 times before putting one single round through it . 2000 rounds later and it is quite acceptable. On the other hand a recent purchase of an 8” restricted found me less patient so a Trigger Tech FX-9 specific trigger went into it . The TT is a thing of beauty , even when compared to my significantly improved stock trigger in the longer carbine. So yes , very much worth the money , IMHO .

Thanks, I appreciate the input. I worked on the trigger last night for a while and it is a little better, but definitely not amazing.

I found the TT trigger worth it! Adjustable to get it to just the right amount of pressure on the pull - being able to tweak it exactly how I wanted it was nice.

Most ar triggers will “work” but may bump fire or double with light triggers. That’s why standard pccs have heavy triggers. Some hiperfire triggers have springs to increase hammer force and still have light pull and are recommended for ar builds in pcc. There are several (disclosure:mine include) on the EE from safequeen Ar’s. I don’t have a pcc triggertech but the ar10 ar15 triggertechs are awesome so you can’t go wrong with those either.
