If only I had a few extra $$$.

You just need to budget for it... and airguns are the easiest save for!

Lets say your current main gun is a 308. Feeding it is about $1/shot
- Airgun in .177 is about $0,02/shot ($10/500)

So every 500 shots with the airgun, you saved $490.
- So in 4 months, at 1x tin a month... You'll have close to $2,000 saved

Lets say you're able to shoot at home.
- Depending how far you live from the range... that's another $10-$20 in gas money saved

It is only saving if that money was available to buy/shoot 500 rounds of 7.62x51/month in the first place, now to be diverted/saved towards something else.

Shooting at home is also likely not possible...legally/safety speaking at least.

Good pellets or slugs, ie. not cheap tins of them from Canadian Tire are far more than $0.02/each too!!!

Don't forget a proper way to fill your tank/s at home isn't cheap either!!!

The wife and I have been using a Gehmann pump for our pistols/rifles for the last 15 years or so... I think a new one is about $200, you could probably buy a Chinese one for 1/2 that

Guns don't save us money, but they do give us pleasure.

The average cost of private psychotherapy across Canada is between $125-175 per session (tax excluded)
- At $150 for a monthly session, in a little over a year you'll have that $2,000 airgun paid off.

Anytime I'm grumpy, stressed, the wife sends me shooting some groups... always work to cheer me up.

Hahahaha. It definitely is nice to get out. When I'm wound up I can't shoot good groups though. On a side note....the latest shipment from FX to Airgun Source has been in Customs for about a month. What a bunch of wankers.

I view shooting as yoga... with a bang.
- As in, you've got to focus on what you're doing, otherwise it won't work.
- Unlike yoga, when you do everything right, you're rewarded with a 10

-

If that doesn't work in getting me back in the mood, there's always the rowing machine and/or the running shoes
