Called AirgunSource earlier this week, and the FX Streamline has arrived! It comes without a shroud, but is well priced at $1,150 in synthetic, and $1,295 in walnut stock. Available in .177, .22, .25 calibres.

I bought a synthetic in .22, a single shot tray, and a couple tins of pellets, and I'm only in for $1,317 all in with tax and shipping! Can't beat that value for a rifle with top end accuracy, a regulator, and power adjuster. Apparently will get 55-60 shots at ~32 FPE, 120 shots at 20 FPE, and somewhere around 300 at ~11FPE. Only weighs 5.75 lbs in synthetic, too!

You'll have to post some pics when you get it!
If I ever get serious about air rifles I may venture into PCP's. The FX Bobcat line looks interesting but probably not available in Canada (looks way to dangerous)....

Will definitely post photos and write up a review after receiving / shooting it! According to Canada Post, it'll arrive next Wednesday.

The FX Bobcat and Wildcat line will not ever be offered in Canada, unless the laws change. The law basically states that any bullpup configuration with a removable stock that can be fired without the stock (reducing overall length) is prohibited. The FX Impact gets around this, as the stock is integrated and cannot be fired after removing just about any piece of it. There are a few Impacts around Canada these days, but people have reported bugs with some of them. They're great rifles if they don't have issues, though, but the price is prohibitive at ~$2600 if they're even available.

I'll post pics of the unboxing next week, and then probably some time after March 18th when I can make it to the range next!

I considered a Streamline as a backup if I could not get a Impact. I drove to Peterborough Tuesday morning to inspect the Impact and Streamline. Pulling the shroud on the streamline was a deal breaker for me. I bought a Impact. 350 plus pellets thru her so far and no issues.

Doing chrony strings/tuning today and got 16 shots (1 .25 magazine) 822.2 low, 825.9 high e.s. 3.7. This is with JSB mark 2 heavys 34 grains.

This thread has perked my interest in the PCP rifles and the FX line is leading the way. It's really unfortunate the Wildcat can't be had in Canada. They're on sale for $1300USD so doable getting one shipped up here from the States, but.....
I went to the AGS website but they don't list either the Streamline or the Impact. I need to do my homework.

They don't list them as all the Impacts were sold before they arrived. Some guys backed out so there MAY be one or 2? They only just got the shipment from Sweden a week ago and are very busy contacting all the preorder guys. If you want something I would call asap as they may all be gone before they ever hit there site.

Do you have a tank to charge the bottle or are you using a pump? I was looking at PCP's but the charging systems put me off. How much does it cost to refill a bottle?

I used to use a pump, and switched recently to a 3500 psi steel tank. Refills cost about $7 - $15 depending on where you live.

Be careful with that, as the Wildcat would be considered prohibited here.

I like to use a pump. I can fill my gun anytime I want and I do not have to rely on someone else. I have over 900 pellets thru my Impact since last week. It has been a lot of pumping. If I had a scuba tank I would probly have 2000 pellets thru her by now. If your not in a rush and are half decent shape and not lazy get a pump.

Good to hear about your Impact! Hoping you do a full review at some point?

I kept my pump, and plan to use it again in the future. It's nice having both, but I can see people not wanting to pay for two charging methods. Having the tank certainly does speed up the number of pellets you go through. I've gone through 500 in a day with the tank on hand. If you're in a pinch, I suppose someone could actually fill the tank with the pump. I can only imagine how long that would take, though!

Especially if dutifully waiting a minute after every 50 strokes or so to allow the pump to cool, something often recommended to increase seal longevity. Even with my 13oz bottle that's taxing on the patience sometimes. Then again, pumping 250+ strokes in one go might just make me pass out. Still, so long as I'm up for the job I won't go to a tank. The FX works well enough, and aside from serious tuning sessions when I'm trying lots of variables, like tweaking an SSG or TSS for maximum efficiency, I don't tend to shoot all that many pellets. Pumping at home is usually a twice a month thing.

Thanks for the info on pumps. I've avoided PCP rifles because of all the $$$ & gear required to fill them. I suppose I could get by quite well with a hand pump though.

Pumps aren't that bad... Just don't go filling your cylinder right before you're about to shoot.

If you're keeping the velocity at +/- 500fps (I do, for shooting indoors), it works out to about 2 shots per pump, on a older Gehmann.

My 13 cubic inch (213cc) bottled QB78D gives me between 125 and 130 shots at just shy of 20fpe, with about 250 pump strokes from about 1,200psi, the regulator output pressure, so about 2 pumps per shot with my current tune. According to Sikes' calculator my efficiency is running about 1.5fpe/ci. Two pumps per shot I can live with. It'd be even easier with a Hill pump - I had one for a little while but it's just too bulky to carry along with me to HFT meets so I'm sticking with the FX.
