decided id put a fixed A2 buttstock on mine, I dislike the collapsable one, it pinches my stash every shot. anyways it didn't go so well. seems the fellas at the FX9 shop decided to make the threaded section for the buffer tube longer. wont work. ill let the pics speak for them selvers. FX9 and an areo precision lower. just thought id save someone else the expense of purchaseing a tube and stock only to find out it wont fit up right

Still doable, just pull the detent out and run it without it. I removed mine on my PSA in 9mm just after getting it after switching the spring to an AR10 rifle length and have never had any issues.

Could you not just thread the receiver extension more, or turn it down to a smaller dia than the threads?

LOP would be slightly longer and you’d need to shorten the screw but it could be made to work.

Huh?? Have you ever installed a rifle length tube?

As stated above, you can run it without the detent. Just be mindful when you're opening it up for cleaning

no, and again no.

I will run it without the spring and pin for now. I think I will make a piece to weld onto the tube to hold the pin in place actually when I get to it

Just a thought, but it you're sure you'll never take the pin out, you could always stake the pin in place at the rear of the trigger box cutout. A small amount of material, just use a big flat edge screw driver or a legitimate staking tool. Shouldn't be too tough if it bugs you.

not the best idea I don't think. I have it figured out. I'm going to cut the front section of a ring off another tube, and thread it in infront of the tube I will use.

so small lil project today, Zach at TNA gave me a very good idea. I cut the front section off an old buffer tube and made a ring to go in infront of the rifle buffer tube to hold the retainer pin in 20 min with a hacksaw and some file work, and I had it inplace. works well, I'm happy
