FYI - Burris 34mm.Signature Rings have Ugly White Lazer Etching Everywhere

This post is more of an FYI. Just got a 34mm.scope and wanted BURRIS XTR Signature rings. I just hate ring marks on an expensive scope. The rings arrived , I opened the nice plastic case and I couldn't believe it! In bright white lettering on both sides of top ring was Burris in 3/8" tall letter. On the lower ring half both sides was a 1/2 x 1/2" American flag.Almost like mini billboard! This ugly marking completely caught me off guard. Nothing on the Burris site or my Burris 30mm and 1 " signature rings..Though I really wanted the rings I just couldn't deal the ugly lazer etching. I returned the rings and bought some Nightforce ultra light instead. Hopefully no marks?
 
They've been that way for quite awhile now. A permenant marker is a easy way to mute to the lettering, or a paint pen. Still great rings, especially with the ability to add additional inclination.
