FYI: Do you own a Vortex Sparc Gen 1 and want flip up covers?

The Sparc Gen 2 from Vortex has nice flip up covers similar to the Aimpoint. I contacted Vortex to see if the covers are going to be available for the Gen 1 and they quickly replied:

Dear Sarge_DL,

The new covers fit the objective end of the SPARC I but need a good amount of trimming to fit the ocular end. As you're not the only person to have asked, we will be making these caps available for sale later this year. Our current ETA to have them available for individual sale is late October.

Please keep your eye on our website. They will be available for sale there when available.

Thanks for the heads up on this. The caps would be great, though I doubt they're going to work with the Tang Down T1 rubber scope protection I installed. Can't have everything I guess.
