Is there any interest in this ammo. Something new "at least to me" looks cool and fun to shoot. I believe it comes in a bunch of different calibers 380acp, 45acp, 9mm and so on. Just wondering if any of the dealers are willing to stock these, and if anybody else wouldn't mind trying them out.

Check it out g2rip.com

It's marketed as just about everything, and by little 'questioning' posts all over the internet. "Social Network Marketing" at its finest.........and worst.

I'd bet they don't want to bother paying for the ammo to be tested for sale up here.
Now if they were sold as reloading component's, I'd be interested.

Defeats all known barriers such as sheet metal, sheet rock, windshields, plywood, heavy winter clothing

Imagine a Hole saw. The hole saw action that occurs at points of entry into different mediums reduce initial drag which allow the hollow cavity in the center of the projectile to rapidly pack. In the case of plywood the hole saw action cleanly cuts and packs the projectile with a slug that makes it solid thus allowing it to conserve more of its energy. This performance could prove to be very effective for law enforcement that may be in a situation where the target is behind such an obstacle whereas more energy will be carried into the intended target and not lost in the obstacle.
Doesn't help the point.

I would like one round for my cartridge collection.
As for actually using it as a primary self defence round, no fornicating way.
Marketing gimmick, nothing more.

This ammo is specifically intended to be used for self defence, and as such has not been approved by the various government agencies for importation.

Go ahead and post the law that says ammo intended for self defense is any different than any other ammo

Do some research before you start talking through yours...

Before talking crap you should make sure your actually right. And FYI the correct answer is what Gryphon posted, and none of the BS you did.

These rounds would be awesome and revolutionarily devastating............. on gophers.

For a defensive handgun round on anything larger and there are far more effective rounds already on the market.

It should be criminal to advertise these as a superior defensive round.

Actually, the fact that they are marketed for use on people, coupled with the fact that they are able to pierce light barriers and still be so devastating against soft targets, has caused the government departments that approve or deny the use in Canada, to prohibit their entry. Yes you are right the reply gryphon left is correct, all I provided was the reasoning behind it. The bulletin I received explains this, but I guess it's not up to the general public to understand why it's prohibited, they merely complain about why they can't have it.

LOL sure

Go ahead and post it then.

I can guarantee that they have not even submitted it and even if they did there is no legal basis for this BS:

Not to mention that there are hundreds of types of ammunition in Canada currently that advertise nearly the exact same thing and yet are magically legal.

hornady TAP
glazer safety slug
winchester ranger
barnes xpd

And the list goes on and on.

All of these are marketed for use on people, barrier penetration and unlike these BS rounds, they actually work

I didn't say it made sense, I was merely stating that it's not approved for importation with the justification I was given. It seems like that has you worked up for what reason? I guess you could say it is comparable to flechett ammo? I don't understand the hostility with people. I'm not the one who didn't approve it...so relax
