Finally had the opportunity to compare both and ironically I think the converted sl8 might be more rare now. The g36 has a better balance without the front heaviness of the sl8 but has a worse trigger. The length of pull feels better on the g36. The rail on the g36 is metal vs the polymer of the sl8.
I'll try to post some pictures but I'm wondering what a hk sl8 conversion would go for now days? I have all the original sl8 parts as well and it has a genuine g36 stock.
