I see these things are worth a bit of coin i have have a vet bring back a Walther from what i can see matching numbers i do not know or want to try to take it apart ...bore is good maybe even pushing very good has a nice brown patina on the metal .the negatives ...front sight hood missing and has the famous vet stock cut under the front band ...i could glue it and you probably would never know but i think its a cool bit of its history .tux guys

If its really all matching and in original condition then I'd say around $7k to $9k. Depending on condition and the buyer. Anyone paying that will want detailed pics though. Basically of everything that is numbered and quite a few of the stock. A lot of of the stocks on these were sanded/refinished/cleaned post-war, and that also really effects the value.

Stock seems to be sanded but not a lot ..im hoping to sell it this weekend to a collector ..i was guessing about the same amount ...i will look on forgotten weapons or youtube channels to take it apart ...im not that into german stuff i like enfields

If the stock has been sanded, even just minorly, then I'd say $5k to $7k is quite fair. Stock issues tend to really effect the value of higher end German stuff.

There’s a few on Gunbroker and the other Auction sites

G41W $11,250 USD Gun broker

The last G41W mismatch sold for $14,000 CDN a few months ago on the CGN Exchange.

I know a few Canadian collectors who have gotten G41's in the last few yours. All of them got unmessed with and matching examples, and I believe they all have around $10k cad into them. I think maybe even a tad less.

If someone actually paid $14k for a mismtached G41 they got hosed good. You could easily find a similar one in the US and import it and still be well under that number.

Your numbers are all over the page.

7k, 9k, 5k, 7k, 10k, a tad less. WooHoo!

Holy Crap, that’s what I really love about CGN price advice!

It’s best to research yourself than to be lowballed, and it happens quite often here over the years.

I intentionally gave a very general price estimation because frankly these things do have quite a bit range. This is even more true when it comes to private sales. Variation, originality, condition, the relationship between buyer/seller all come into play.

I can only go off what I know. And what I know is I have quite a few friends who are serious collectors of German arms, and a few of them have G41's. They all have, give or take, around $10k into their rifles. Keeping in mind that they are all matching and unmessed with examples in at least good condition.

People can ask whatever they want on the EE or Gunbroker. The reasonably priced stuff sells real quick on GB, and everything else just sits. Both those Gunbroker G41's you showed have a 'make an offer' option, which pretty well means the sellers knows their asking price is really high and they want to see how close of an offer they'll get. Meanwhile the EE has one foot in the grave.

Finally Coyote, this is Canada. In 2023 there just aren't that many guys chomping at the bit to spend big amounts of cash on an German semi-auto rifle. The whole milsurp market has taken a pretty obvious downturn... and then there is the whole legal situation, which makes buying an expensive rifle like that financially quite risky.

It’s quite easy to export to the USA. So no, it’s a global market. Not just a Canadian market. Not all Canadians are cheap.
Just like the K98 market. If ya wanna play, ya gotta pay!

I collect original condition K98k's, so I know how it goes. I've imported about twenty original and matching German long arms into Canada.

Exporting to the US is considerably more time consuming and difficult. And the Americans recently changed some rules making the process even more challenging.

What's the laws right now in the states with Import stamping? If you were to export back down to the states one that you could prove had been imported a couple years ago would it still have to be import stamped?

you should have a look at Legacy Collectibles website. then call them and see if exporting is feasible. Luger Collector might have some info also.
