I am going to be looking at one of these rare rifles next week and i want to be very fair and honest on the price i should offer this is what Ive been told
it is in minty shape
the bore is bright and shiny
the wood is really nice
it may not be matching numbers but the owner is not a military
buff so he may not know what to look for it was left to him
its all there nothing broken
I know south of the boarder these rifles command a big buck
but up here they seem to float around 3500.00- 5000.00
please correct me if im out to lunch in the end I may not be able
to afford it as he thinks that it is gold
Thx
Mark

ok here is what i saw
It is MATCHING numbers
it is not minty but in very good condition with most blueing turned a nice brown
bore is bright and shiny
repair to stock at wrist stock has been sanded and refinished i could not see and waffenampts or numbers
springs feel weak i have heard that was a problem
there was a repair to the rear sight that you can not see fro the top you see it when you flip the sight up ..numbers match on the sight as well
the top wood/fiber is black again this I have seen I have also see have seen a reddish colour .I know it is not wood its like a early fiberglass for lack of a better term
sn is 1945
overall not bad at all could use a good cleaning
Thanks guys for any information
Mark

The way I see it is with at least 2 outcomes, maybe even a few more:

(1) The Seller can Export to the USA if the money is better.

(2) You can Import one from the USA for American Dollars.

(3) Low Ball and go home empty handed.

(4.1.227(a)) Buy Low and Flip It on the EE the next week for Double.

I chose option 2!!!!

I've heard of one good one in Canada, and the guy got so many huge offers he had to stop answering emails.

There's a market here for nice matching guns. Mismatched will hurt it big time.
Sanding will hurt it big time.

Ya the mismatched bit is bothersome but i wont know unil i see it next week i have seen a few in that past I am not a german ww2 gun guy even though i have a few good ones it has mostly been through luck then knowledge
Mp 44

are you talking a
Walther or Mauser ?, with scope rail or not? ,original blue? , Duffel cut?, sanded, matching ?
your prices are what the plain Walthers seem to sell for in U.S. dollars.
with no damage, in Canada, would be amazing.

There are a few walthers floating around with contoured wrists and sanded stocks. I've seen two in the last couple years.

AC is the most desired.
Early duv with scope rails.
Then the bulk of production, duv43 no scope rails.

G41's are rare. Many were lost in Russia due to attrition
