G96 on wood?

Is G96 good on wood stocks like they say Ballistol is? I've been trying to keep it off so far but I'll rub it in if it'll be good for the stock and not wreck a finish.

just ordered a new muzzleloader for a friend from lebaron's and figured i'd try to get some g96 since i'm running low. got a 12oz can in the mail three days later. never had a problem on any of my boyd's stocks......

Epps has it. Ive seen it in more gun shops then gun shops that dont carry it.

G96 Gun Treatment is a silicon based lubricant/cleaner/rust preventative for use on metal. Although it doesn't harm wood that is sealed with a finish it's purpose is not on wood.
