GA Precision Rifle

I bought two rifles built by them. Real good rifles and George is a great person to deal with. Not sure if he is still the owner or not. About a year wait time back then likely not any shorter now. At this time with the exchange and importing laws it gets a little pricy to order a gun from down south.
 
I have one, great rifle, the workmanship is about as good as it gets.

Having said that, my next build with be by Insite Arms and have no doubt it will be on par with GAP.
 
GAP's are decent. My first real precision rifle was a GAP. Quality and fit and finish are good, right up there with the other big names.

Insite Arms producing a rifle that's every bit as good as a GAP. In fact, Insite Arms even touched a few things up on my GAP rifle that GAP should've caught.

Not a huge fan of the owner or their PRS shooters. They a bunch of dinks. They have a bad reputation in the south (I.E. Texas) - their team is full of a bunch of whiners. Hate seeing them at matches.
 
I have a few GAPs, including a Crusader in 308 Win. It easily bested all the other students rifles on my last course... until we went beyond 800m. At 1000m she hit the 10x10 twice about two inches apart then missed up, down, left and right about 1-3 inches for the next 20 shots or so lol. The longer barreled rifles hit consistently once they were on.

Build time was 7 months for the Crusader, they are faster then most other builds they do as a result of popularity and a ready supply of parts. Quality is fantastic and they are awesome to deal with. If you call there is a good chance they have something on hand for you.

Word of warning however, if you order a 23 inch barrel, they measure from the bolt face forward so you get what I consider a 20 inch barrel. I was hoping for a bit more barrel and I asked for the adjustable A5 sock and got a fixed. The guy who took my original order left the company shortly after my order so maybe that was the reason.

I have one of their M40's, the barrel is huge and it is incredibly accurate. It has the non-stippled stock which I love for some reason. The Crusader has a 1/3 guarantee, the M40 a 1/2. The M40 is tighter than the Crusader and the Crusader meets its guarantee.

I have a Rock with fluted barrel and an A5 both still undergoing break in. So far they are amazing.

I had a Cooper tactical rifle imported a few years ago, again still in break in. 20 inch heavy fluted barrel in 308 Win. Nice, light stock and crisp 2.5 lb trigger. I have only ever seem one other. Closest thing to a one hole gun I have ever shot at 100m with factory ammo, with thorough cleaning between shots.

Agreed.

Another option would be to buy a barreled action (such as an Impact) from Insite Arms and then throw it in a chassis of your choosing. Or commission them for a full build.

With Insite Arms up here, it would be hard to justify importing a custom build from down south.
