GA Precision?

I don't own one but from the comments I've read on "the Hide" customer service is excellent, George the owner posts on the Hide from time to time and answers customer concerns. Wait times might be subject to your choice of stock, They make the FBI HRT rifle & a USMC M40,Army M24 etc. There GAP 10 is there AR 10 model and it comes well received. You might get more input from posts on Snipers Hide? Good Luck.

I think that you would do OK for the cost, but that's me, sure folks are going to give you other options, like source the action, barrel & stock yourself, at least that's what I did. I like there Gladius model personally. Re sale should be good, wait time could be up to a year. If you want a "home grown" precision rifle at around the same cost, I would not hesitate to buy a PGWDTI coyote, if I wasn't a "lefty". If you decide to have someone build it like TacOrd, he can source a Defiance action which gets excellent reviews, along with a barrel, the only PIA is the stock if you go Manners (recommended) or McMillan.

What caliber where you looking at? George's 6.5 SAUM he has been making has been getting a lot of rave reviews with good barrel life if you don't mind doing a bit of brass work. He's not only one of the top builders in the States, he's one of the top shooters as well. A PGWDTI would be worth a look as well, they make great rifles !

I have nothing but good things to say about GAP, and love the Crusader they built for me. Look here : http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/foru...8-2-more-target-pics-added?highlight=Crusader
in the precision rifle forum...you'll find the post I have regarding this rifle.

I've done a bunch of load development since the original post...I've put 1600 rounds through this rifle now and it shoots into the .2s every time if I don't screw up...I'm very happy with it.

Why not call Alberta Tactical Rifle Supply...They can build you anything in a bolt action you want and in world class style.

GA Precision seems to be the US mirror rifle company of ATRS here in Canada...Only differences I can see is GAP will use barrel fluting more readily and may have a slight edge on rifle finish options available...ATRS has an array of in house manufactured rifle components that GAP does not offer...Oh yeah and GAP has a slicker web site...Closer proximity to Hollywood I guess...By all accounts both build world class rifles, the northern mirror company just doesn't blow about it as hard.

They aren't mirror companies at all LOL!!!!!!!!! That's some funny #### right there. Last time I checked GAP wasn't charging 6 grand for a custom 308 either. You might want to take the chew outta your ears there Lastgun and wake up.

GA precision a minor company? Not at all

They are the reference in the buisness. In usa tactical competition you see more GAP rifle than any other makers.

ATRS action does not realistically offer anything over any quality custom action.

Any smith in the usa have direct access to any high quality manufacturer that are available. Their is a #### ton of top notch actions , bottom metal

GA precision is differemt as any shop, as they offer a complete lineup of custom rifle at good price that all answer a need in the market and they can as any cuatom shop build anything you want with your own parts or they will supply their.

Whe have our own top maker(pgw), the rest are gunsmiths. Whe don't have alot of diversity as in the us(yet)

I must have struck a nerve of some kind jugi16...What are you trying to say?

By the time you bring one of those GAP's north of the border you will be around the same money in as with ATRS...What I mean by mirror company is the rifles and quality offered by the two.

Gotta admit if it was easy to do I'd sure like one of GAP's Gladius rifles in my corral.

For having imported 3 of them this year for clients , you are looking at around 5k at your door.

Thanks again for the GAP review. That is one ###y rifle. I love the simplicity of their builds, closer to something you could hunt with, clean, great lines, functional, accurate, quality. Love the GAP camo and the cerakote metal.
