Galil Mags modified to fit Valmet M88

So it appears there is a way to mod Galil mags to fit a Valmet M88.

Anyone here have any tips or pictures of a modded Galil mag in .308?

Attempting a conversion shortly if all goes as planned.

Hm... I had a galil 308 mag that worked in the hunter with no mods whatsoever. (Traded is for a 5rd valmet mag to a guy on here, maybe he will add something...)

Apparently. The .223 mags do not work properly even if you get them to lock in. They will feed the rounds at the wrong angle and mangle the bullet or even push the bullet into the casing and have a boom. For the 308's G3 mags can work as well, the original Galil mags were converted G3 mags. That takes a lot more work as you have to add material. I bought a case of cheap ($3 USD) G3 mags years ago and had them imported from the USA with this in mind. They were sold to me as steel mags and when they arrived they were aluminum or alloy so welding was going to take someone that knows how to weld aluminum properly so this idea got tossed out and the mags sold. Sad day.

Since your on the topic, I'd be interested in a galil 223 mag to fool around with if anyone has one for sale.
