That's what came to mind as well. People have made some awesome looking clones in the past.

Yup.
Maybe two of them. I got my hands on 2 Galil full parts kits. An AR and a SAR.

There are some questions I need answered that I think only machining blueprints can answer.

Ya I saw those. Shame they are so blurry in some of them.
I am really interested in the 18.1" barrel machining documents.
