Galt3gun’s 6th Annual Winter 2gun Match

Just a heads up that Galt3gun’s 6th annual winter 2gun (handgun and rifle) match will take place Saturday February 9th, 2019. This is an outdoor match that will test you and your gear. Registration link with details will be e-mailed to those on our mailing list. Details will be posted here after the registration emails go out.

Unfortunately, Mother Nature has made our range into a skating rink and we are forced to postpone our match to March 8-9. This is a first for us and as much as we hate to do it, there is just no way we can make things safe for running and gunning this weekend. Full refund for anyone unable to make the March date. Our apologies.

You shoot the match in your skates and I will waive the match fee, deal? Fortunately the entire range is shut down this weekend so no one but me will see your toe picks.

Freezing rain and lightening are about the only two things that will cause me to cancel a match. 7 years and close to 90 matches and this is the first one weather has caused me to postpone...been pretty lucky/stupid so far.
 
Bloody hell....Mother Nature has seen fit to keep our temps below zero for the last month and for at least the next week...not only do we still have a couple of inches of ice covering the range floor, we also have a light blanket of snow concealing the especially glassy patches! Sorry to say we have to move the match to April. Emails have been sent out to shooters with our apologies.
 
Well sonofagun, it looks like we are finally going to pull it off. Volunteers shoot tomorrow in the rain but looks like everyone else will get sunshine and warm temps on Saturday. I’m a bit sad that everyone’s favourite short-wearing shooter had to cancel since for once his attire might just have been appropriate and advantageous!
