Im the proud owner of a Gamba O/U 12 Gauge. I think the model is a "Accicio" made in Gardone Italy with Boehler barrels. It has a removable trigger. Not sure how old it is but Im guessing its before the" Renato" brother takeover? Not sure what its worth but its really nice and feels good. Im hoping to try it out in the next couple weeks.......any opinions or thoughts ?

WOW !...........nobody owns or has anything to say about Gamba shotguns??
My son owns a Gamba skeet gun, it it was OEM for Mauser.
Super shotgun, but it was once owned by a member of the national team
(Tony Antal) and it likely has a zillion rounds through it, as evident by the odd misfire of the bottom barrel!:D
I believe Tony shot bout 100 birds a day on his range....

A friend bought a Gamba "Montreal" model with all the Briley guage tubes & chokes. The dealer was the now defunct Giovanni's Gun Shop in Toronto. He traded in three Winchester 101's plus some cash for this Gamba.

This shotgun was rife with problems. I think it is now shooting ok but only after many $$$ were spent on it. That said it is a beautiful looking gun with really nice wood.

I don't know how many rounds were put through the gun prior to my friend buying it but I suspect it was a lot.

I think Giovanni got the best of this deal.:D

He always seemed to. His prices were high and promises as the quality and functioning of his used guns were empty.

As to the OP's query, I tried a friend's Gamba Daytona trap gun once. It was a very nice gun. Quite smooth in operation and well balanced. However, IMHO quality wasn't on par with comparable Beretta guns.
