Rural yard sale outside N.Battleford yesterday. Found a couple ammo boxes for a buck each. When I forked over my Toonie I asked if she had the bullets that came in the boxes. She said yes but that I would have to get them out of the rifle!

Long story short, Polish 1952 M44 - None of the numbers match, not even the EP'd bits.(edit)Hungarian stock that looks like it should clean up nice. Pristine bore. Came with 100 rounds of white tipped 21/72 in copper cases that I burned up when I got back to the farm.

Worth the $100 and the sore shoulder I think :)

I just had a polish m44 come in the mail today, Iam eager to shoot it. Is theres anything interesting about these rifles? or somthing that would make them somewhat rare?

Their quality is the best of all Mosins. Also they shoot the best groups of all the Mosin Carbines.

I paid 200 for a Polish M44 at the N. Battleford gun show last year. Condition is the same as CraigOrys. A rare great deal at a gun show lol. Haven't shot it yet. Looks to pretty.

haha well sh*t, You learn somthing everyday, I bought mine as part of my "WWII russian gun collection) which is currently at 3 guns. I bought the polish one thinking there was not much difference and no one would know by glance and mainly because it was cheaper than the russian m44's. But I guess I got a deal :) Can anyone tell me what mine might be worth? all matching 1953
