Hey, wasn't sure whether to ask this here or in the milsurp section but I stumbled upon this ammo earlier today at a local shop for a pretty good price or at least it was in my opinion (pics stolen from the internet but its the exact same stuff I saw) and was wondering if anyone has any experience with it/if its safe to use in a garand or how old the ammo is (store had a few boxes so Im assuming not to old but maybe it is??) there were no markings or statistics on the box that I could see besides what you can see in the pics (back and top/bottom had nothing important and the other side was identical), after looking online for about half an hour I found 2 sites in the states, one labels it as fmj with a Velocity of 2910 fps and has a stock photo of it with 2 loose fmj rounds in it (didn't save that pic as it was blurry/useless) and the other says as much as the box does.

I know the worries/issues with modern ammo in a garand and yes I know all about modern factory ammo meant for the garand but so far I haven't been able to track any down locally which is why I'm asking and came here first.

Any info you can provide would be great
Thanks!

A quick interwebz search shows a couple of sites stating that it is safe for use with the M1 Garand.

Take out the space.

Hey Auggie, Thanks, I saw that but the different box through me off, is this just the same stuff repackaged then? Also find it odd that there's no mention of Remington on the box.

Was hopping to get some more input but Guess I will pick up a box and see how it goes, aslong as it doesn't hurt anything then $20 a box is hard to beat!

Besides the garand question has anyone seen this stuff before and know how old it is or if its any good?
