DAC 55 30/06 ammo, folks here told me what it is & that
it works well in a garand. Now one last question before I
get a bit more.Is it corrosive?Regards 375rum

DA 55 .30-06 is non-corrosive. I've shot a pi$$-pot full of it over the years in Garands,'03s, M1917s, and even a BAR back when big nannie govt let us do that. It is excellent Cdn made ball ammo.

What's even sadder is that I fired a lot of this ammo in the .30BMG back in the 1960s when we used these in Armoured vehicles and on ground mounts. I think I'm probably a bit more mature and reliable than I was 45 yrs ago.:(

Ah, but there was something about sitting in the gunner's seat and mashing the button and listening to all that unbalanced crap slamming back and forth inside the Browning as it pop-pop-pop-popped its way through a belt of the stuff. The other button was even more fun!

And the freakin' RO wouldn't let us take the brass home!

Repeat after me: "I have no live rounds of empty casings in my possession, SERGEANT!"

BTW, ALL Cdn-production military '06 was NCNM. First year for AMERICAN all-NCNM production was '54. Anything dated '54 or later is good stuff, but be careful with American-made stuff dated '53 and earlier.

Not my information: Hatcher's. He knew a thing or two....
