Well, I finally got around to buying a Garand. I took it to the range last night... what an awesome gun! I should never have waited this long. I was amazed at the tight group I got with the stock sights (and my bad eyesight) and how much fun it was. The 'ping' is just too cool. :dancingbanana:

Anyway, just a milsurp newbs first report. Now I need get a super fine collectible one (and a big wad of reasonably priced ammo)...
 
'30-06 ammo' and 'reasonably priced' are never in the same sentance in Canada. :D

I'm heading down to the US this weekend... wish I could import a bunch of surplus ammo!!! The prices on surplus are unreal. I saw 1000rnds of 7.62x51 for just over $100 last time I was there. Sick. Just sick.
