Just curious ,what are garand barreled actions going for,I have a april 1944 springfield action with a 1955 SA dated barrel most of the finish is worn of the reciever and the reciever has pitting but it doesn't affect the functioning ,the barrel has heavy pitting in the hand guard area and some pitting in the bore ,it just passes the bullet test.I have fired this action and barrel and it shoots under a 2" group at 100 yards I was shocked, I used all the parts of this gun to put onto a nice 1943 dated receiver and I have a barrel on the way which is 44 dated in very good condition to put on this action.anyone else out there ever switch all there parts over to nicer reciever that they came across.
