Truly... That cloud of smoke pouring out of the action with the AR-10 vs. the clean cycling of the Garand... Clearly the Garand is the environmental choice

Seriously though, I would expect to see at least some residual smoke drifting out of the action of the Garand, but... Man, that's a clean firing action. Just the faintest hint of a wisp in a couple of those shots.

Yup the Garand can bite, but mostly when operated by untrained or inexperienced people. If you follow the correct loading procedure "Garand thumb" isn't a problem

We all know what happens when you stick your finger in a whirling fan, but some people need to find out the hard way.

Quite often you will see deposits from ejected brass on the hump of the op rod and/or the flat of the receiver in front of the rear sight. A properly set up and correctly lubed Garand will deposit ejected brass in the 1-4 o'clock position.
