Garand fore end fit

[Sharps '63]

I've got a pair of Springfield ex-Danish Garands in great shape.

The one that has a 'loose' fore end shoots better than the one that is 'tight'.

Should I be looking to alter the tight one? Anyone with experience in such things, contact me by pm.
