Garand parts kits

The question is about 25 years too late. In the 90s Denmark's war stock M1 Garand rifles hit the market in Canada. US gun laws wouldn't let non USGI receivers across the line, but parts were stripped off and put into plastic bags. Those parts kits were sold freely across the US. Guys were posting their finds and trades on the forums, sorting out the reputedly bad Danish and Italian parts from the supposedly superior USGI ones. Hence the extreme shortage of Garand parts in Canada.

It's NEVER too late to build an M1. Parts kits are still available, albeit hard to find and always increasing in price. OP I would keep an eye on the EE, stuff is popping up randomly. I saw op rods available last week, that was the hardest to source part for my build.

Does anyone in Canada other then (a place that rhymes with Shmazshmek) have them?

Not sure if you are talking about ######.... (does that rhyme with Shmezschmek?) They currently have parts kits. I have bought Garand parts from them in the past (trigger group, barrel etc), and have been happy. Some items have long lead times because they are being imported. The process takes time.

Quite frankly, their price is amazing. Considering you can get a receiver for under $100 to finish the gun, ######'s proce is a steal.

Edit: What is the deal with the censorship? Is Astek on a ban list for a good reason?
