Garand parts?

I have a friend looking for all the metal parts for an M1-Garand.
He has the wood complete,just needs the stuff to go into it.Does anyone have any sources for parts & prices?

Districorp has quite a few of the parts. Marstar has Breda barrelled receivers. the rest you can source from Numbrich and e-bay.

Check with aacollectible here on CGN at the link below, it has been a while but he might still have some of what you are looking for. I bought some parts from him, good guy to deal with.

It's almost certainly cheaper to buy a complete rifle than the individual parts. And it's for sure quicker and easier

I agree with RifleDude, by the time you find and buy the pieces one by one, you'll spend twice as much in taxes, shipping and handling as you would if you just bought a whole rifle initially.

Building from pieces has an unfortunate dark side. How do you know the pieces you're buying are all good and not worn or loose? You could chase your tail trouble shooting a fault with one little misbehaving piece, and Garands have some critical fits too.

Yes, you are correct, but he has the stock already!!! I've started projects with much less, like buying reloading dies for calibers I do not yet own/shoot. It's the justification that I need to proceed with other senseless projects. What better fun can you have with your clothes on? :
