What would be the approximate value of this rifle ? I know the pics aren't great but I can take more detailed pictures as needed . Thanks .
That where the maximum selling price usually come from, not usually common market values.I'd put a $1000 on any of the valuations suggested here. Any Garand is a couple thousand. Go to the Switzer's Auction records and go scrolling for ACTUAL current market price. But know that auctions are a testosterone race, and don't include fees, taxes and shipping.
Pretty sure Switzers also charges fees to the seller, beyond the buyers fees. I've read there are better options out there to sell. As a buyer, I've gotten the odd nice firearm from Switzers, but it can be a bit of a crap shoot for sure. That where the maximum selling price usually come from, not usually common market values.
Now I'm not arguing, if I had some nice old #### I wanted to sell, it would for sure be at auction.
Buyer pays the fees/taxes/etc.
Lots more then Switzer these days though, SFRC runs a pretty large auction too. Same deal, prices are not for me lol
Thats pretty brutal then, and probably evens out to selling on CGN for market $$.Pretty sure Switzers also charges fees to the seller, beyond the buyers fees.
