What version of 455 British would be have been used in a 1915 Garate Anitua 455 OP No.1 Mark 1? Apparently is was a British Service revolver, patterned after the S&W break action, and made in 1915.
 
I had one of those. The U.K. ordered them in .455Webley to supplement the insufficient production of Webley revolvers in WWI. Users would have been issued any .455Webley ammo in stock in that period.
 
Thanks Tooner. Did hotter Webley loads develope after deployment of this pistol? What I'm specifically getting at, is which 455 webley cartridge should I try in this pistol if its in safe firing condition?

I think he means did they use the MK1 or MK11 455 ammo.
I'm not sure, but probably the MK11.
