Garrison Petawawa PR Match 3- 06/07 August 2016 - Debrief Here!

I'm still out because of a messed knee. 'Mild arthritis' I'm told by the Doc. I'm dreading 'severe arthritis'. I'm hoping the young lad and I can make the October match.

kelsey's 1900 hrs. sounds like a plan.

Yeah, we will see you there. A bunch of shooters are staying at the Quality Inn and Suites. I see a perfect opportunity to network and yak with fellow shooters if all of you are bunking out at the Quality Inn and Suites. I'm told breakfast there is pretty good!

Truck is all packed now.

Barney

At Kelsey's now. Power is out all over town. Even on Base, the power is out. Not sure about trying for food in Pembroke. Let's see how much of the local grid is affected.

Cheers
Barney

Many thanks to Morgan, Barney and Heather for another great PR event. The weather gods smiled upon us for once and sunscreen was needed for the first time in my last two years of PRs with Barney. Some of the grizzled veterens where there along with some new eager new faces. Both days ran smoothly and quickly, we finished in record time with everyone having had a great learning experience.

Thanks again Barney!

Finally unpacked and organized for the next adventure which happens to be my Western Canada Road Trip!

The results are posted on second post of this thread....

So did any one of you shooters practice the secrets to happiness (in sniper matches and in LIFE....) ? Let me help you jog your memory:

F Then U then C then K

Spell it: F U C K

Remember which mantra it stands for: Forgiveness, Unconditional Love, Compassion , and Kindness

Apply this mantra when things in life annoy you..... Recite this mantra really quickly and let positive thoughts take over your mind. Banish all negative and unproductive thoughts in your mind.

Your mind is your greatest weapon! Use it!

If you want to be great; be grateful! (Lewis Howes, School of Greatness)

I've much to be grateful for....

I'm super grateful for the community of shooters here on CGNutz and Petawawa and Toronto and Guelph and Quebexico and Orangeville and Ottawa Valley
I'm grateful to Heather our sentry who entertains herself as she fulfills a valuable role
I'm grateful to Range Control for their support of our shooting exercise
I'm grateful to our Point Man Chalk River for all his support over the years, we have a super community
I'm grateful for my butts officers who sorted out all that necessary target presentation because THAT IS THE match

I'm grateful for the Danny's Steak House folks for serving up gigantic meals for us to chow down and tell war stories....

I'm grateful for this opportunity to serve all of you, yell at you, phart on you, and cause great Agony at the 300 meter mound.

Have a great night all of you!

I'll see you when I get back from my Western Road Trip...

Not to sound annoyingly repetitive but yet again I must extol the virtues of a Barney clinic.

I am thankful to Barney for putting together the whole clinic season.
I am thankful to Morgan and Heather for for their role in making it possible.
I am thankful for everyone who attends, it's great to see many familiar faces and new ones that eventually become return participants.
I am thankful to range control for letting us use their facilities.

This time out I learned how wind can seriously f..k up your results. I also learned if you want to place well despite having a bad day, keep sure the dude your shooting with has a better day.

Morgan, take care of that hernia. Or at least draw some eyes and a smiley face on it and accept it as your conjoined twin.

Barney, safe travels westward. Thank you for all that you do. Were it not for your clinics my skills would be less, my friends would be fewer and my workaholism would be far, far worse.

To everyone else... See you soon.

I can't add much more to what was already said, a big thanks to Barney, Morgan and Heather!

Can't wait to see everyone again next time!

thanks to Barney and the Petawawa Gun Club for a great weekend, a great bunch of participants to shoot with. instant comradery. Barney makes you a better shooter and person through a buddist mantra. looking forward to the next one to meet the group again.
