Many of those cheap ones from CanTire have little known feature - master
combination. Don't bother to reach for the manual, it's not there. Also, some
brilliant mind set it to be, guess now... 12345678. So you store your gun(s) in
there being sure that at least the junior can't get his hands on the dangerous stuff. Here is how to remove master code:

- press "0" twice
- press reset button
- enter new master code, press "B"
- to make sure, re-enter your old combination as per manual

Also, next time your check into a hotel, see if room's safe still has
factory master code.

Great!! Now you tell me! I cut out one of the numbers from 1-8 so the master code wouldn't work.
