Gas block jig and styles (Ottawa people?)

I am torn between a clamp on or set screw style gas block. My barrel is not dimpled and I would prefer to do it with a jig. Pinned would be ideal but I am afraid of messing it up and can't afford $90 for the jig and more for a reamer at the moment.

Is a clamped gas block a good choice? Specifically looking at the MapleRidge Armoury pincer. I would like bomb proof but pinned is likely the only way and not really feasible at the moment.

Is there anyone in Ottawa that has a dimple jig they would be willing to lend or rent?

A clamp on will be fine. I have them on several of my rifles and installed them on many others and I've never had one shift. Pinned is obviously more bomb proof, but clamped ate my second choice. Set screw is my last choice, they will stay put if a) they are dimpled, and b) as long as your set screw doesn't come loose. You don't really need a dimpling jig: align, tighten front screw, use drill press to dimple through the rear hole in the gas block (what better dimple jig than the one you already have), install rear screw. Then you can dimple the front if you're inclined.
