I am working on a project and will be turning a 14.5" AR-15 barrel from a barrel blank. I am curious where on the barrel I should put the gas port for a carbine length gas system. Meaning how far from the torque shoulder that the extension butts up against. I have looked at some of the posts on Ar15.com but it appears there is some variance in what is used. Any advice would be great!
