Gas tube wiggle

The hand guard and gas tube assembly on my SKS wiggles a little Is it ok to shoot and is there a remedy

try shimming it with some thin wood say from a paint can stir brush ?????. Mine has a little wiggle to it as well in the wood stock, still works fine. I dropped mine into an ATI strikeforce stock and there is no wiggle. Still non issue as long as you lock it down with the latch.

wiggle seems to be where the tube joins the receiver at the ferrule. The wood portion is solid to the tube

yeah mine to. once i lock it down there is some side wiggle , i know what you're talking about but it doesnt affect the performance. I have shot it in the wood and the ati stock. works great

Wiggle in the gas tube is fine. Open tolerances make it so if one part breaks it's easy to fix with parts from other guns.
