It can achieve the same power at lower pressure than the .44, and loaded at higher pressures surpass the .44, plus your doing it all with a wider bullet. The .44 is magnum in name only, .45 is where it's at!

Hmmmph...I have a Marlin in 45/70 and another in 30-30. Been thinking about a 44 mag for fun but if I went 45 i would have to load another caliber.
