Gaurd Screw Torque - Tikka

What is the proper torque for front and rear action screws on a Tikka Laminated Stainless.

JEC - check the owners manual or the Tikka web site: http://www.tikka.fi/ If it is not listed there then just snug the screws up firmly - if your knuckles turn white you've got it too tight!

OK, same question here.

There is no info in the manual about torque specs or process. (front screw, then rear, then front - etc)

Any new ideas on this Smith-nuts?

Just tighten them really tight... you won't see any difference if you torque them to 65 inch pounds.

I think this "torque" thing has blown way out of proportion... it may have it's place with ultralight fiberglass stocks without pillars but any factory rifle just needs to be good and tight...
