A few quick questions...

Is it reasonable to wear load bearing stuff to an outdoor / indoor range?

I'm talking about MOLLE equipped gear.

As far as I can see, it must be.

I have a vest currently that supports a decent First Aid supply and all of my admin stuff, which I must be carrying anyways (as far as my feeble little mind can tell.)

I see guys with special bags, vest and gloves for shooting Trap and Skeet...

Would it be appropriate to wear my own shooting-specific gear?

Or is that range specific?

It's range specific. And, in most cases, it is also sport-specific.

Most shooting clubs will have written and unwritten rules of conduct. Considerations include both safety, the perception of safety, legality, the perception of illegality, liability, the perception of liability, and political correctness.

Depending upon the culture of the particular club, your activity might be required, encouraged, tolerated, discouraged, or outright prohibited.

There are Fudd*s everywhere. It is for this reason that these are the sort of questions that you might want to ask when considering an application for membership to a given shooting club.

* Fudd: a person to disapproves of someone else's use of firearms while feeling both superior and justified in his own preferred use of firearms. It could be a bullseye competitor who doesn't approve of IPSC. It could be a hunter who prefers wood and bluing and doesn't approve of firearms with synthetic, camouflage and dark, matte finishes. It could be a IPSC shooter who doesn't approve of hunting. It could be a duck hunter who calls ducks but doesn't approve of baiting bears or of calling coyotes. It could be a rifle shooter who doesn't approve of handguns. It could be a financially well-off firearms connoisseur (who enjoys relating how much he paid, and) who doesn't approve of low-priced firearms that the masses would find affordable. It could be the police officer who believes that only "members" should possess any defensive firearm - or even an EOTech. The Fudd may be any of those people.

As Wendell states, find out what's acceptable for the range you plan on shooting at. If your MOLLE kit provides some functional benefit for you, I don't think anybody is going to have a problem. Depending on what you plan on shooting, you may find carrying a whole bunch of crap hanging off a vest to not be very comfortable. I surely don't want to walk downrange every time I change a target carrying a whole pile of kit that I don't need at that point in tiime. I leave what I'm not using in my truck or the range bag. On the other hand, hiking downrange with a load might be good exercise......

I think what gets a few 'Fudds' concerned is the tacticool mall-ninja that comes out wearing all the kit, and then gives everybody a display of unsafe gun-handling while trying to impress their buddys. I've been at my range(s) lots of times working on jam clearing, mag change drills, transitions, etc. wearing 'tactical' gear and had 'Fudds' come over and ask me questions about my stuff once they determined that I actually had some clue about what I was doing and didn't pose a hazard to myself or anybody else. YMMV

It's funny how those same people that give you weird looks are the ones you have to go over and enforce basic range rules/safety.

"...talking about MOLLE equipped gear..." Whatever for? A vest that has the water carrier weighs 10 lbs full. And any vest will be hot.
You'll find most ranges don't like guys running around in cammies or 'combat' kit either.
