Gear selection help

Hey guys,

I'm just starting to get some instruction in shooting, and I need some help picking gear since I have no idea what I'm doing or what I do/will need.

I've got an Agoge Pistol Operator Level 1 course at RDSC in April, and I go for my Black Badge in May. Between the two of them I need an appropriate belt, holster, mag holders, and hopefully that's it?

I'll be shooting a Sig P226 for both courses.

The mag holders seem to be the expensive part, since I need 5 ish of them. I was told that the belt requirements for the black badge/IPSC stuff is that it must go through 3 belt loops, so the inner/outer Velcro belt setup sounds like my best bet there. As for the Agoge class, it looks like I might be better off with the outer/"battle belt" style setup. If I pick up mag holders, and one of each belt, will they be interchangeable between the two as is, or will I need adapters or what?

Are the magnetic mag holders any good, or would I be better off with the pouch style?

Sorry for the noob questions- I would rather ask questions and get input than just blindly waste money on something that might not work out.

For IPSC I have the CR Speed inner/outer belt and 4 mag pouches and a magnet with a Blade Tech holster for my S&W MP9

For my STI I have a Blade Tech Holster and Mag holder with magnet attached also used with a CR Speed belt.

I was thinking or running all Magnets so thet I would only have to switch my holster, but I was told it was not reccomended to do that. Something about not bbeing able to use them in the States and that they may be pulled from using them in IPSC.

Yep - certain USPSA divisions ban the magnets.
