I came across this air pistol recently and have been trying to find some information about it. The top of the reciever says Gecado Mod. 2, made in Germany.

From what I read I understand Diana was producing air rifles under the name Gecado for some time. To #### it you have to push in the barrel and then unscrew a threaded cap in the back to put in your pellet. It has a wooden grip.

If I can get my camera to work I will take some pictures to share

you mean like this one...

I had a similar pistol as a kid/teen and it was pretty underwhelming.
Not much power and even less accuracy.
There is no air chamber, it's just the springs forward momentum that moves the pellet.

Gecado was the name Diana put on airguns exported to Commonwealth countries after WWII. The Diana Model 2 Improved (perhaps the same as the Gecado Model 2) was manufactured from 1955 - 1985. The original Model 2 (Pre-WWII Model) is described as a .177 cal., push-barrel cocking air pistol with a smoothbore telescopic two-part steel barrel, removable knurled knob at back end of receiver for loading pellets or darts. It is not clear what improvements were made to the post-war "Improved" model, but unlike the pre-war air pistol it has adjustable sights and riveted wooden grips.
