Geiselle SSA trigger install help

Back in the country and reading this now...

We received our triggers through official channels, AEI is the official distributor of Geissele Automatics in Canada. Our commercial resale order was paid for in full on Aug 26, 2009, but due to the actions of a US regulatory agency, we received them about three weeks ago (June 2010). I don't know what happened to yourself USP, I will ask Steve about it, but not having them wasn't due to our business model, it was due to US authorities. There were numerous 'they'll be ok to leave next week' given to us over those many months, only to have that change. This was completely out of our hands, and this is why we did not take any confirmed orders for these until they were here in our hands, rather we had a waitlist.

The day we received them, all waitlists called and orders taken and shipped, until about 2AM our time.

We currently have SSA small pin ($225) lots, and DMR Large and Small pin ($324) models instock and on the webstore, with all and any orders shipping within 24 hours. They include instructions, which are quite clear, and we answer the phone and can provide technical assistance anytime, and do so.

Walt@AEI

Well, I called your company numerous times, I contacted you via email and even sent you PMs here on the site. I could not get a response. Originally you told me it would ship by a date in early April. When it didnt ship you wouldnt return calls, I waited a couple of months then gave up.

I dont mind waiting for parts as I understand there can be delays, but when you wont answer the phone, return calls or emails it does not inspire faith in you being able to provide delivery. I ended up paying more money and got the part in a week.

Heres an example of how I dont mind waiting. I have a specialty part on order from Questar, its been on order for about 7 months now. Anytime I contact Questar I get some sort of update whether they just contact me back or give me an actual time update on delivery. The point is theres some communication that makes me think theres actually somebody over at Questar that cares about my business enough to respond to an email.

Having talked to several people after I cancelled my order with ARMseast I understand that others have experienced the same level of frustration in lack of communication.

Its to bad your company is like this,as you have several products I would buy.

^Actually, I have since found your order, our response that they were backordered, and your two further emails from the same week the ordered was placed, stating that you needed it right away.

I'm sorry you paid way more elsewhere, and sorry on the email. We were short staffed that month, and going through some painful technology upgrades, both situations that have since been resolved, allowing for very quick email responses and accurate order taking vs stock (your order shouldn't have been taken in the first place at the time).

I wish you didn't have the problem, wish we could have shipped it the week you ordered rather than taking a no money exchanged backorder, but also would like to be accurate about it, it didn't happen over months, and all backordered customers were called and triggers shipped within 24 hours of the their arriving in June.

If there is anything else you would require, Steve is very quick with email responses, nothing in stock takes more than 48 hours between order taken and order shipped, and more often than not, by far, ships the same day.

Regards,
DT

You should change your website to indicate approximate real wait times. Most here wont care if they have to wait 6 months- but come 6 months it had better ship if you said it would be 6 months. I did send you approximately 6 or so plus emails, also a few PMs here on the site, other than the original two, none of the rest went answered. I also called on the phone, couldnt get anybody.Thats why I gave up and went elsewhere. Had you of answered them and said it would be a wait of X amount of days...I would have waited.

I am not alone in this, numerous others I have discussed this with have had a hard time communicating with you. I would be willing to try your business again, but you have to do better in getting back to people. Other vendors keep customers informed about order progress, so what I am asking is both achievable and reasonable based on current industry standards.

The border is a #####. I waited close to 6 months to get my Aimpoint into the country and that was with Aimpoint Military pushing from the south.

Walter treated me right and I will go back to AEI in the future, that is all I have on that.

USP, what you're asking for is reasonable, but already done, and has been the case for a long time. We have an employee who does nothing other than answer emails, phone calls, and ships orders daily. There is no backorder listings needed, if it's not in stock, you can't add order it. That you could order the trigger at that time was a mistake when the current system was brand new and we were still getting the kinks out.

Gunnerlove. Much thanks.

I really don't see what the problem is. There were some problems now their fixed, most if not all businesses on here had some problems from time to time. We have all read multiple threads on the wait times at the border and the pita for export permits.
I have bought quite a few guns and parts off Water and Steve at Armseast, and they have went out of their way to get me the product quickly and at a fair price. I recommend them without a question.
