Maybe most people know this info already so if that's the case disregard.
Gen 2.5 Stock trigger ( timney on the way and will report when it is installed and tested)
Norinco 55g 1600 bulk pack 5.56 muzzle velocity 5 shot Average 3026 FPS
American Eagle 55g AE223 muzzle velocity 5 shot Average 2844 FPS
My Z-MAX 55g reloads with CFE223 muzzle velocity 5 shot Average 2922FPS
All shots were taken with only the handguard supported on rifle bench and buttstock fully supported by me, I have no sand bags etc to do any better.
Optics were lucid HD7 with 2MOA red dot.
I used my reloads for these tests as it was a bullet that I will use the most and was the most consistent speed by far on the chronograph with only 36FPS swing from the slowest to the fastest. All 3 have a similar trajectory.
Zeroed at 50 yards my test group bullets within 1 inch
At 100 yards was 3" high and within 3 inchs.
at 200 yards was it was a bit high and grouped within 6"
at 300 yards it was averaging a little low maybe around 2" and a 12" group- 3 were within 6" with 2 on the opposite extremes, which for me I feel is ok since the target is completely covered by the dot and for me quite small for no magnification.
I am very happy with the results and feel confident with shooting from a kneeling position I should be able to fairly easily hit anything coyote sized out to 350 yards. With some magnification I am sure groups would shrink significantly, I wasn't expecting this to be a precision rifle but am pleased to say it is better than expected.
