General Purpose or Practical Rifles?

I’ve never used corrosionx, but in testing it appears tight with eezox. I imagine it works in a similar way, they don’t form emulsions with water easily. That was eezox’s neat trick, it stayed as an oil film even in downpours and boat spray, didn’t get that milky / creamy sand collecting emulsion to form.

Why not Corrosion X in the bore or on the firing pin instead of Eezox?

Have read a lot of good things on forums about Renaissance Minwax as well, but that's not a solution for in the bore lol

Eezox is a dry lube. Or acts like it. I get no change in POI with it in the bore.

Corrosion X is non toxic. You can eat it I believe. Eezox is quite nasty.

Good to know thanks!

Although I wont try either on a sandwich anytime soon the bit about the bore is very good to know lol

Not related to the metal, but the guys I learned to hunt from on VI used Johnsons paste wax to protect their wood stocks and keep them from taking on water in the rain. I really doubt it stops them from swelling due to ambient humidity though.

Same guys who would use wd40 to purge salt water and apply g96 then "polish" with a shop towel. All former commercial fishermen
