Hi,

just found this today and was very amused. Seem in can fire blank, small 2mm or flare. Never seen before, i found it was called berloque. Those are german and made by MAUS. Probably in the 1950. I dont know if it is the right forum for theses, any one know about them? They are modified to be button cuffs!

That's a good question. They are not made for modern ammo and the design is ancient, so they should not require a license at all. But you never know what RCMP might think.

They'd have to push a 2mm bullet at one hell of a high velocity to make the energy requirement to be a "firearm"

Here's the "semi-excluded but still a firearm if you're an idiot with it" definition

Air guns and other barreled weapons designed to have:

A muzzle velocity of 152.4 meters per second or less and/or
A muzzle energy of 5.7 joules or less.

Awesome news since I just baught 4 different ones from an estate auction and was wondering about their legality after the fact. Sadly they come with no ammo.
Cant wait to get them!

If you don't mind my asking, what did they cost you? I have a couple, one with an engraved grip and the other with mother of pearl grip panels, sadly, one of which is cracked. I looked at them on ebay just to get an idea of value and I was shocked at the prices they can command at auctions and shows. Here's the 2 I was thinking of flogging off. I used a dime for scale.

You look to have some of the expensive ones. $300+ US each
Mine are much cheaper ones. Only $130 each but I did get a Zythos revolver apparently in unfired condition.
