Hi all, I am looking at procuring this AC43 G41w. I'm a bit nervous given that it's listed in C-21, but I've always wanted one, I have had and built many G43's and am familiar with a lot of variants in them and have always been keen to get my hands on a G41 for obvious reasons.

I've always eyed buying a beater from the US as I'd seen them go for 2-3k on GunBroker when I was actively looking. I saw a misatched one sell there for 3K USD about a month ago. Now there is one that's come up in Canada from a friend. What's a price range for these? It's mismatched, all parts match (stock, bolt etc) except the mag which has a different number. I don't think the stock is sanded, but I don't have an eye for that. The price we've discussed is much higher than I think I'd pay from the US, but it's in Canada and these are rare here. I'm also completely out of touch with prices for the last 10 years so I want to make sure I'm not going to be too out of pocket for what is a very expensive purchase. Thanks!

Why does the stock look brand new but the metal looks aged? Putting a price on this would be very difficult as it might have to be deactivated or exported in the future. If you do purchase it and require parts in the future. Contact me as I will be parting out some.

Thanks, might be the camera, it all looked equally worn to my (untrained) eye, which was not too worn.

New Reproduction stock with Fake Markings and Fake Serial Numbers to Deceive a new uneducated buyer, not even an original WW2 German stock, not even original to the rifle. (Douchebaggery!)
It’s a mixture of all types of parts. Yes it drops the value,
Don’t waste your time, it’s not the only one out there. Look for something better, not something that’s been Humped.
Tell Bubba to keep it.

Interesting, does that impact the value by a lot?

I actually prefer a reenacting/shooter grade one, I just hadn't seen one here. I don't want to overpay though. Would 4500-5000 be an OK offer? I was higher before when I was thinking the stock was original.

They are so rare, buy it, you will have her on hand to the time you will find a better one.

Will never be a problem to resale her.

As stated, this example is sitting in a reproduction stock, which for obvious reasons is going to impact its value.

To give you an idea, before the G4 amendment was dropped on us, untouched matching examples of this pattern of rifle were selling in the $8-10K range. Now, who knows… some are panic selling, but most guys are holding out to see what’s ultimately going to happen.

Given the repro stock and total mismatch of parts, I’d say around $4K is fair, but just be advised that better examples are out there, and they can be had for not too much more.. Idk if I’d jump on this one. Not for political reasons, but because it’s got some glaring issues that I personally wouldn’t be able to look past.

Thanks all, I opted not to purchase it, so it will be coming up for sale soon if anyone is interested.

I would suggest buying it enjoying it (while one can) then trading up. At least you would have an example.

I just saw Weimajacks post at 11.
