I'm talking about the mostly West German surplus stuff made by the government, popularly known as DAG. There were truckloads of this fairly good stuff around before UNOWHO got elected but I'm not finding it anymore, wondering if it's been seen elsewhere in Canada. Last I knew there were issues with the packaging and corrosion and people were tending to use it up ASAP?

That's what they do with milsurp but they can't release anymore once it's all gone.

I notice that the Austrian Hirtenberger ammo is labelled stG 58, which indicates that it was made for use in the Austrian variant of the FAL. Altho Austria is not a NATO member and this ammo would not bear the NATO compatibility mark, it is a fair assumption that this ammo is NATO compatible, and therefore usable in M14 types or 7.62 chambered Garands by reason of it's use in the Austrian FAL.
